“Differences & similarities
between Western and Eastern American Species’
germination & cultivation needs”
Steve Willson is a keen lily grower living in Bow, Washington in the Pacific Northwest. He has a particular interest in Western American species and hybrids, which suit his climate provided winter wet conditions are offset by having good drainage. He does less well with Eastern American species. In this talk he reviews the natural distribution of the North American species, their germination and cultivation needs, and hopes to learn from ORLS members who succeed with the Eastern species. Steve presently serves as the NALS Seed Exchange Chair.
