BULB SALE AND AUCTION 2026

Good day ORLS members and interested growers. Here is a curated list of lily bulbs for this year’s bulb sale and auction.

This list includes a lot of “garden Lilies.”  These are heritage types and proven cultivars that will last in a garden. There are a number of newer cultivars included in this list. Two OTs with distinctive and unique colours are Lasting Love and Red Desire. Also new is Tribal Kiss and Fancy Dance.

For people who would like to have pot lilies for the patio or for the border there are Abbeville Pride and the dramatic Tiny Massive.

We also have dependable lilies that will last in the garden for years. They are Leslie Woodriff, Claude Shride, Black Beauty, Lady Alice and Northern Carillon.

Then we have the wonderful opportunity of having Anastasia in our sale.  This is one of Judith Freeman’s best embryo rescue cultivars – a very elegant lily that extends the blooming season till August.

Then we have managed to get an absolutely unique lily called “Affection.”  This is a Bill Evans hybrid. He was one of ORLS’s best hybridizer in the 1980’s and 1990’s.  Between Bill, Gordon Brown and Ross Martin, the ORLS was a leader in new hybrid lilies.

We also have leading edge martagon hybrids from Leanne Dowd. The two she has available are just recently registered with the RHS.

From Lilyfield Farms in Saskatchewan, we are lucky to have Cheryl’s newest introductions. She specializes in Asiatic lilies.

From a number of growers out west we have acquired some heritage lilies.  Lemon Lady, Embarrassment, Sweet Surender are some of these lilies.

Another unique lily from the Canadian hybridizer Dick Bazzett is “Just Jazz”. He introduced it in the year 2000 at the NALS show in Oregon. It was one of the first tetraploid pink Asiatics.

There is also some leading-edge material that has the now popular “black hearts” quality in their nectaries. This a popular goal for the recent hybridizers.

So, we have a full palette of bulbs for you to purchase. Either in the bulb sale or the auction.  The auction link will be published when it is available.

Thank you again and good luck acquiring your desired lilies.
